I'm supposed to be writing a paper. yeah, that paper. the one I've skanked out on writing two nights in a row now. I WILL PREVAIL, GODDAMMIT. I MAY NOT HAVE A THESIS, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN MY PAPER WON'T KICK ASS BY 5 PM ON FRIDAY!
also I have a new default icon. I think I had the myopic pair one set as default for six months or something, which is probably excessive, but I had actually managed to make Photoshop do my bidding for once, so I was pretty proud. on the other hand, I feel like I'm drifting away from PoT (slowly! I'm still reading fic, just... not reading canon, or watching it, or writing any fic ^^;;), and as y'all may have discerned from my last few posts, SUPERNATURAL OWNS MY SOUL. see, you know how in fic we create these tortured backgrounds for characters in order to further the cause of hurt/comfort? Dean is ACTUALLY THAT TORTURED. most of the time he resists the chick-flick moments, and then he goes and says, "Sooner or later everybody's going to leave me," and makes me cry like a little bitch. GOD SAM COULD YOU BE A BIGGER ASSHOLE TO HIM SOMETIMES. ARGH ARGH ARGH. you went to college; you're supposed to be smart. show some goddamn sensitivity. (but then again Sam can be sweet to him at times, too, so I mostly forgive him.)
if I were any good at, y'know, MAKING icons, I would create a new default for myself. because I desperately, desperately want one that reads, "Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole unless he's offering a blowjob." any icon makers out there want to pick up the gauntlet, and be my hero?
post of Supernatural recs may follow, depending. if anybody wants to proffer a few, I will read pretty much anything well-written, and Wincest squicketh me not. (unless if involves John. um, that'd have to be "well-written" on the level of Shakespeare.)
