i take it back, i take it back! failure is not an option...
And then somewhere along the way he realised that actually, that's a pretty fun way to go about living your life, even if he can't quite shake the feeling that football is the most important thing ever.
exactly! though, obviously, football is still the most important thing ever but maybe a little fun is okay too...
Silva sulks at himself, gets angry at himself. And Adam sulks at other people, blames other people (mainly Roberto Mancini and Stewart Downing and yes, on occasion, Silva) for his many and various woes.
on this you and I agree and I really think Adam has to get over that before he can become a really great player
It's weird...I sort of think the person who's most like Silva at City (other than Mancini, obvs) is maybe Milner. Except Milner's smile is a little less ready and he seems to be completely and utterly impervious to the cold. But he's another one, I think, who just cannot actually comprehend anything but a ruthless, cutthroat, life or death attitude to football.
YES! Milner=totally professional, totally focused at all times on football. Did you read this? He is one driven guy. And in the #askjames thing he's all like I wouldn't even have a glass of champagne if we won the title. He kind of makes Silva look relaxed about football...
