authorial intention isn't everything -- if it makes you happier to imagine non-platonic kissing, go for it! the line gets blurred for me with those two anyway. I have weird hang-ups about what kind of fic I'll write the players' girlfriends in, otherwise it probably would be explicitly non-platonic XD
