I read up through the end of volume 9 of xxxHOLiC. Does Watanuki EVER get a clue regarding Doumeki? The man is practically standing there waving the stoic seme flag that reads "I love you and will protect you with my life even though I am allergic to expressing my emotions in any way other than torturing you". Actually you probably couldn't fit that on a flag. But still.

Anyone know how far Tokyopop has released xxxHOLiC, btw? I probably wouldn't pay money for it, but I might go read it in the bookstore if there's more that hasn't been scanlated yet.

On an only vaguely tangential point, I really need to stop wasting my money on manga when there's so much of it available for free online. ^^;;

Del Rey is the group that's actually releasing XXXHolic in America. If you head over to RightStuf (http://www.rightstuf.com/), they are having a 33% off sale for XXXHolic, so you can get each book for $7.23, and free shipping to boot (if the order is over $49, I believe). Unfortunately, vol.9 isn't set to release until May 2007, but vol.8 is coming out Dec.12, and you can pre-order and still catch the savings. ^^

hmm. unfortunately have no credit card, but thank you for the tip anyway! shall continue to stalk the lovely CLAMP scanlation group in any event, as they are lovely and excellent. =)

Hah, I agree with you... XD I also have to stop wasting money on manga when there are so much available for free... o.o But it's not the same thing, the feeling of having the manga in your hands, and reading it on the computer... ._. But I can't help it, since manga is a little expensive nowadays! ><' I spent so much money buying xxxHolic, Fruits Basket and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle O_O
But here in Brasil, the original tankohons of xxxHolic come splited in two parts... Half of the tankohon (2 chaps) comes in one month, and then the other half comes in the next month! O_O So, we are still in volume 3... Waah... I have to start downloading the manga!
