ALLOW ME TO EDUCATE YOU. Victor and Andres are besties since the academy! they were also roommates with Pepe Reina and Mikel Alonso, if you like random side-facts in your canon. Figo and Guardiola are the epic tragic romance of the prior generation, five years of BFFdom ended in tears when Figo transferred to Real Madrid. Xavi and Iker (I didn't get to this, argh, self, write faster!) are a lot like Victor and Andres, they've been besties since they were young because they were on the junior NTs together. Pique and Cesc are obvs the bromance to rule them all, what with the continual declarations of best friendhood and desire to play together 4ever and ever and vacations together to Ibiza (>_>;;), but they are only a part of the Baby Dream Team! Leo was in on that too! (I love Fabrique as much as the next girl but DAMMIT WHERE ARE MY THREESOME FICS GIVE THEM TO ME.) the last year they were together at the academy they won everything on the face of the earth and Cesc still says it was the best year of his life. all together now: awwwwww. but Leo stayed and they left him behind (;_;) and he got adopted by Ronaldinho and Deco when he started playing for the first team. fortunately their attempts to teach him to be a party animal failed miserably, haha. but Leo still calls Ronnie his big brother. Puyi and Pique are really close, too, which is incredibly sweet - Puyol was really depressed when Pique came back to Barça, his dad had just died and he'd broken up with his long-term girlfriend and Barcelona was kind of in shambles, and Pique really helped him through it. they're like brothers, they're so adorable. and, I mean, Xavi and Andres. they're not best friends but they have the freakiest psychic connection (and say things like "I know where he is without looking, and I really miss him when he's not there"), and I like to rewatch the Informe Robinson interview with both of them over and over for the bit where Xavi is talking about how he thinks Andres is better than he is and he hates when the media makes comparisons between them and you can just see the YOU SAY MEAN THINGS ABOUT MY ANDRESITO I CUT YOU BITCH going on behind his eyes. ♥
