Ok so there is a little more fic about Carey tying PK up! Although it's kind of less about the actual tying up and more about, like, feelings, just, ugh, it's only a short short fic and I'm still wailing internally over how Carey doesn't even know how much PK loves him YOU DUMB INSECURE COWBOY WHO COULD FAIL TO LOVE THAT FACE.

september recs, day twenty-five: dance vids!

I have this whole thesis on how vidding is really kind of a form of choreography (music! motion! telling stories!) which I will spare you for the time being, except to say that I think dance vids, when done right, are kind of the purest form of vidding and are also AWESOME. And this vid was doing the rounds on Twitter a little while ago, which made me think of seeing what others I could dig up!

A fabulous compilation of dance clips from all sorts of sources! I don't recognize all of them (and some of them I recognize now but didn't when I downloaded the video -- aramley has made me watch Mary Poppins and Singing in the Rain since then, haha) but it's not really a vid that needs context. It's a dance!

I Wanna Dance, by jarrow [Glee]
DANCING LESBIANS! I have a lot of feelings about Brittany/Santana, considering I've only seen about half a season of Glee. And the dancing is really perfectly handled as well as the shippy theme! jarrow is always great with matching motion to music.

I'm stretching my definition of what a "dance vid" is by including this -- there's definitely dancing, but it's the slow, sexy kind. It's not a Club Vivid sort of vid, that's for sure, but I love it.

Party Hard, by Phiz [Community]
Who knew there was so much dancing in Community? I love the clips of Troy and Britta on stage, and I crack up every time I watch Jeff doing his weird routine in his underwear with the pool cue. PERFECTLY matched to the music.
