Actually, Japanese video game companies are intelligent enough to incorporate lots of slash obvious to slashers (when I first played FF7 in uh...5th grade, I certainly didn't catch on, but then replaying it in 8th grade I was like OMG WTF), especially in earlier games like FF7 during the '97 period. FFX became more lesbian-centric due to more popularity in Western markets, but the slash never really goes away. Shadow Hearts likes to poke fun at that through a lot of uh...really disgusting men hitting on the hero. XD;
