I don't know, really... I think Torchwood's a pretty cool genre experiment. I just wish I could watch it without feeling the strong urge to punch all the actors in their stupid faces until they could actually, you know, act. But I reserve judgment until I actually watch the rest of season 2.
it is a rather awkward place in the narrative to be writing SPN fic. everyone wrote their "Sam gets Dean out of the deal" fics over break, and now we're in holding pattern until the show actually goes somewhere. (also I feel like RPS is going to take a dive now that Jared is engaged. or else become weepy and angsty and unrequited. ugh.)
