I still love Ben Folds. His new album isn't as good as I was hoping, but there are some lovely lovely songs on there. I know you secretly love him. You don't have to pretend with me.

That's so strange - I was literally just trying to tune my guitar to "Oasis". I love that song, and "Guitar Hero", "Have to Drive" and "Astronaut". "Runs in the Family" is, I find, the most Dresden Dolls-y song. Have you been on the album website? I found that some of the songs made a lot more sense after looking up the lyrics pages. For example, "What's the Use of Wond'rin" really confused/angered me, especially considering how feministic "Ampersand" is, but the pictures make sense.

...crap, I'm sorry. I could literally talk all night about Amanda Palmer, I think. I have pretty much been listening to it non-stop since I got it.

Argh! I'm sorry! I hate it when people do the whole "oh, you might not have heard of this" patronising crap, and there, I just did it! (I'm not a cool-indie-kid though, so at least that's in my favour.)You know, I like the Postal Service too (especially "We Will Become Silhouettes", despite it being totally overused on TV). You should hear the Ben Folds' cover of "Such Great Heights", you'd absolutely love it! ;>

I am drowning in work, but just fine! I will be put off Tennessee Williams for life after this year, I can feel it. How are you? I get a similar thing because we have students from Pennsylvania over for a year, and lots of them turn up in my American Fiction classes.
