manga links. be very afraid.
Dec. 26th, 2004 10:32 ambasically, i am about to hand out all the manga links i have bookmarked. that includes the stuff you can only get using bittorrent. you should all get bittorrent, so you can read the marvelous Sakende Yaruze. =P
http://www.hochuuami.com/
Worship Hochuuami. Seriously. Prettiest manga ever. Um... read Oasis Project and Steady Study first. (added 1/9/05: And Tsuyogari. And ANYthing by Yamato Nase; that woman kicks major ass.) Then go troll for whatever strikes your fancy.
http://www.raygungeisha.com/dragonfly/projects.html
Hochuuami's doujinshi operation. They have Prince of Tennis (which is all I read), Naruto, Hikaru no Go, Full Metal Alchemist, Slam Dunk, and some other stuff I've never heard of. All I can say is that the Prince of Tennis doujinshi are amazingly hot (and that I will never look at InuKai in the same way again).
http://mochi.harusame.net/projects.php
mochi*mochi amuses me wayyyy too much. I recommend Kiss Scandal, Bukiyou na Silent (those two are short), Rin! and Keijijyou na Bokura (those two are not, but nowhere near as mammoth as LoveMode). (Added 1/9/05: All right, having actually gone back and read some more of the stuff I've downloaded from here, READ EVERYTHING. It's all so pretty! Especially CUT, which is dark and broody and sweet and depressing and very nearly made me cry.) (Added 8/15/05: Keijijyou na Bokura's been licensed. ~waves flag of yaoi manga pride~ go buy it in a bookstore instead, it's freakin' awesome!)
http://www.possible-soup.net/nova/index.php
um... scroll down to the pink letters that say "Beautiful Soup" and click the "P" beneath it for project information, the "D" for available downloads. I don't think I've read anything from here yet, but some of it looks good! (Added 1/9/05: Check out the art book, AYA. It's kickass pretty. And available for download, always a plus.)
http://www.storminheaven.net/sih/dreams.htm
Storm in Heaven has some good stuff... Dear Myself is under completed projects, Demian Syndrome is under ongoing (which is frustrating. Grr.). Most of their stuff isn't shonen ai, unfortunately.
http://neoterica.cjb.net/
Love Neoterica. Worship Neoterica. GO READ SAKENDE YARUZE, DAMMIT. They even have instructions on how to use bittorrent. You have no excuse. (And behold, my mistakes make things easier for the rest of you with Macs... the lovely girl running the site has noted that you need to use Safari, which i found out the hard way.)
http://memoryforyou.cjb.net/
Memory for You. Obviously, you want the English site. Unless you're bilingual, or feel like scaring the crap out of your French teacher. I haven't read any of the stuff I've downloaded from here yet... it's just taking up space on my hard drive. >_<
http://peccatore-sanctuary.com/
ok, i figured out where the project summaries are. the big problem is that the downloads are SLOW. Also, new projects aren't up for download, which makes the floozy sulk.
http://obsession.bugbears.net/projects_in_english/
Obsession has a lot of manga, but only six available for download... and the only ones that i really want to touch with a ten-foot pole are Menkui, Kimi no Naka (...long title...), and Combination. I haven't read them yet, but they're sitting in my manga folder waiting for me! (1/9/05: have now read Menkui. Am slightly bemused. It has an ok plot, but... the characters are not pretty enough for me. I have also downloaded (but not read) Stigma, which is apparently by the same mangaka as Saiyuki, if anyone cares.) (3/1/05: Read Kimi no Naka. It's adorable. ~wibbles~)
http://desperate-love.net/
Again with the no plot summaries. I just have a lot of stuff from this site because I went on a click-happy downloading spree a while back. Haven't read any of it yet...
http://www.aku-tenshi.com/manga.php
this site is bizarre. I started reading Bokura no Oukoku a VERY long time ago, and it was good, until i got sidetracked and never finished. One of these days... Anyway, I haven't read anything else on this site, and it all looks non-yaoi.
http://www.sakura-crisis.net/
teh crack. LOVE MODE. That is all.
And also added 1/9/05:
http://www.controversity.org/eop/index.php
Essence of Purity has some AMAZING stuff. I found the second volume of Haru Wo Daite Ita (what I don't know is where the hell I got the first one...) and read it, and was nearly in tears, it was so sweet. I wasn't terribly enamored of the first volume, but I read it way back when, before I got into the hardcore stuff =). I have also read Cinderella Boy and Sono yubi no tadoru kizu, and recommend both (especially the 2nd one with the impossible name). Aisareru (...long title I don't feel like copying) looks good, too. Lovely Sick is creepy though...
http://www.lililicious.net/
Lililicious is a yuri archive. For those who don't know what that means, it's girl-on-girl. If that's your thing, enjoy. Schoolgirls aren't one of my kinks (maybe hits a little too close to home...) and since I've never seen Sailor Moon, the six million doujinshi available are wasted on me. The single PoT doujinshi available was SCREAMINGLY funny, but none of you have read Prince of Tennis so... ~mutters~ The scanlated yuri magazines are ok, though.
(Added 1/16/05:)

Sooner or later, some of you will read Prince of Tennis. Then you will be happy that I am obsessed with PoT doujinshi. Yes, you will. I guess you could read the doujinshi anyway... none of them actually have any tennis in them. 4 TezukaxFuji doujinshi on this site so far (and it's REALLY new), and 2 of those are a bit... or more than a bit... hardcore. "Vanilla" is absolutely adorable, though. ~wibbles~

friend
tokudane. Seriously. It's your friend. They keep track of pretty much every single yaoi scanlation update, and the links to the archives are useful. Of course, more than half of all the scanlation groups only use irc, but that's another issue. Does ANYONE want to teach me how to use irc? PLEASE?

All PoT, all the time. Mostly the work of K2 Company, which is 100% fine with me. If nothing else, read Seishun Gakuen Paradise, source of the infamous sex ed scene. then go read the rest of them, because by that point you'll want to. =)
