The Germans are the goalkeepers! Well, the cute goalkeepers. René Adler, 25, from Leipzig, plays for Bayer Leverkusen, and Manuel Neuer, 24, from Gelsenkirchen and plays for his hometown team of Schalke 04. Manuel is the current German #1. René was supposed to be #1, but got injured just before the World Cup and hasn't gained his place back from Manu. And the story is awesome except for the formatting, just what I wanted for German-fic. :D

Date: 2010-12-30 07:07 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] meretricula.livejournal.com
haha, well, I gathered the goalkeeping part XD somehow I thought Rene would be older though. or possibly Manu would be younger.

From: [identity profile] louis-quatorze.livejournal.com
René will be 26 in a couple of weeks (Manuel turns 25 in March). They're very much about the same age. Manuel tends to come off as somewhat of an innocent, which I put down to having not left home/his first club. We'll see how he changes if/when he leaves Schalke in the summer...
