hey all, if you've been drafted into writing a piece of the football RPF overview for crack_van, could you check in and let me know how it's going, if you need guidance from me or assistance from another fan or anything like that? I don't think I'll be able to throw together a complete post for September 1, since I've got rehearsal tonight and an 8AM class (OH GOD WHY) tomorrow, but I do want to get the overview posted as close to the beginning of the month as possible!

also if you have any idea of people who can be bludgeoned into writing a summary of Dan Agger/Fernando Torres or Kaka/Andriy Shevchenko, let me know. I will write them myself if I don't get any volunteers, and if you have the slightest shred of affection for those ships, you really don't want me to be the one introducing them, 'cause I don't like them. XD

my overview of Messi/Villa is here (http://meretricula.livejournal.com/191561.html) for purpose of comparison but basically I'm looking for 300-500 words on the who the characters are, the backstory of the pairing, why people ship them, any facts that will help a newbie understand fic. so with Kaka/Sheva, I think a basic rundown on their personal history is relevant because it's central to how they're written, how they know each other, what their relationship at Milan was like, stuff like that. think of it as a plot synopsis of their history together? (and if you have a relatively nice picture of the two of them together, let me know, but I can see what marvels google will produce for me as well.)

There's a particular picture out there with a bunch of the club hanging out in a hotel lobby, and (I KID YOU NOT) Frank is sitting in John's lap, with John holding him there by the waist. Casually. In public. In front of all their teammates and some staff.
