title: chicks before dicks has never really been our motto
fandom: Roman mythology
pairing: Venus/Minerva, Jupiter/Juno
rating: R (or does the presence of sex toys rate NC-17 even if they aren't in operation?)
word count: 2600
summary: All the semi-incestuous tensions of the Omicron Lambda Upsilon sorority come to a head at the winter formal, their biggest social event of the year: wherein sorority sisters Venus and Min(erv)a backstab, catfight, and occasionally unite against a common foe, and also there is hatesex. Every fandom needs at least one college AU!
notes: [livejournal.com profile] cupcake54 asked for fic about Venus, Minerva and Juno as sisters for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide. It may have gotten a little out of hand. All knowledge of American sororities is exclusively based on watching a handful of episodes of Greek. No engineering students were harmed in the making of this story. My sincere apologies to any women's lacrosse players.

I still can't think of a better line than the title, sorry )

title: truth and beauty
fandom: Plato's Symposium (which is itself really RPF of classical literature and history, so...)
pairing: Alcibiades/Socrates
rating: G
word count: 1200
summary: Plato's Symposium has a few holes in it.
notes: Written as a [livejournal.com profile] yuletide treat for [livejournal.com profile] vocal_bard. The original comic strip is here. I remixed it using this photo of the statue of Socrates in the Colosseum in Rome. The cut-text is from Ode on a Grecian Urn by John Keats. If this were written in Ancient Greek, it would be clear that the entire middle scene is in indirect discourse, but as it is you will just have to take my word for it.

When old age shall this generation waste, Thou shalt remain, in midst of other woe Than ours, a friend to man, to whom thou say'st, 'Beauty is truth, truth beauty,—that is all Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.' )

title: it's not a competition (unless I'm winning)
fandom: Tennis RPF
pairing: Andy Murray/Novak Djokovic/Rafael Nadal
rating: NC-17
word count: 2500
summary: Dating professional athletes has pros and cons. Plus: great stamina. Negative: they really, really hate to lose.
notes: Sort of written as a [livejournal.com profile] yuletide treat for [livejournal.com profile] aramley. Sorry.

the trick is getting you to think that all this was your idea )
