drive-by post as I am meant to be revising my essays like mad, but I just remembered this fic that I read ages ago and wanted to rec it before I forgot again: Poetry In Motion, a Stargate: Atlantis AU in which they are all footballers. Rodney is the goalie. it was brilliant the first time I read it and it's way better now that I actually know anything about soccer. the bits about the iconic images of the match are what I really hope the Cesc-is-a-girl AU will someday end up being sort of like. also I have been listening to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs a lot recently. SO GOOD. I feel like nobody has ever talked to me about them but they're awesome.
