Introduction: Well, I’m here to introduce BLS’s skit, entitled, “Stabbity Stab Stab, or, The Death of Cicero.” To get you in the mood, I thought I would first read you a bit of one of Cicero’s letters, which I happen to have here with me… ~waves book around~ I’m sure some of you remember what Cicero’s writing is like, so please, bear with me.

(Letter 52, Paragraph 4, Sentence 1)

In contrast to that one scintillating sentence, I do hope you will all appreciate how much our skit it the soul of brevity. Thank you. ~retreats~

V.O. of Cicero: Dear Atticus, Well, not to waste time in extensive circumlocutions, I’m totally screwed. See, in retrospect, those speeches about how much Antony sucks? Not such a great idea. So now he wants to kill me. I know, kill ME! I saved the Republic, dammit! No one appreciates me but you, Atticus. You’re my only friend. Love and kisses, Cicero.

Enter Antony, Fulvia, and disembodied head of Cicero.

Antony: See, dear? The bad man is dead now.

Fulvia: ~stabs Cicero with hair-stick~ You certainly won’t be abusing MY patience any longer.
