okay, "meretricula" is the diminutive of "meretrix" in Latin, so it means "little harlot" as my Latin dictionary so charmingly gives it. A meretrix, incidentally, is literally merely a female who earns money, but the Roman empire was before the femininist revolution, so only a certain type of ladies worked back then.

What would you change your name to, if you were changing it?

"belladonna_poisoning" or "apocolocyntosis", possibly, but they might be taken and are way too long, and I already have the_card_floozy - I don't need ANOTHER lj that I would never update.

What is your favorite username? Why?

hmm. sublimeparadigm is a pretty kickass name. oh, and puzzlebleuink, even if it is a community, not a person.

Ok, I'll explain here because it's kind of not worth making a whole post out of. I may the only person I know whose username means absolutely nothing. There was a time when I was a very fickle person, and any creative username I came up with would quickly start to sound very lame. Also, when I had different names for different accounts, they would all get mixed up in my head. So, eventually I decided to name all my accounts something that, being meaningless, is incapable of becoming lame. And I could invest it with a sort of meaning that's just totally me.

The trouble is that having a meaningless username is, in itself, kind of lame... -_-

=) I think that's pretty cool, actually. like... Dadaism, or post-modern art. nobody gets it, but everybody thinks it's deep and brilliant.

Hahaha, dadaism. Nah, mine's not even a nonsense word. I made it sound like a name from some fantasy or sci-fi novel to deter people from inquiring about it. Guess it didn't work on you... =D
