Fighting It - It's the loveliest song to have ever been written. It's a man talking to his baby son. It's not particularly piano genius, but it is very lovely indeed. Although I'm not sure whether you'll like it now because it's decidedly... soft. Eheh. Still, it's worth a go!

But if you want a sexy, sexy, sexy song (soundwise. Ignore the lyrics) - Not The Same. Or if you want piano genius, Fired. But the song's crappy. Shut up, Sylvie. Go with Fighting It.

He's... different. I couldn't find Fighting It, so I listened to samples for a while... (I am Lazy Bitch personified!) Narcolepsy sounds quite intriguing, actually. He is perhaps lacking the bitchy drama of Placebo and Beethoven, but still cool.

Oh, nevermind... it's Still Fighting It. Is pretty. Reminds me of Barenaked Ladies. Very soft-rock.

You know, I haven't actually heard Narcolepsy... I've got two albums and a bunch of random mp3s. Feh. He isn't dramatic, but his piano... oh, his piano. I've just thought of the best song you should have listened to: One Angry Dwarf And 200 Solemn Faces. It's about a rich, famous man who rents out a basement to yell at the people who were evil to him when he was younger. The piano is fantastic!

I can't believe I got the song title wrong, I'm such a tit. Barenaked Ladies are lovely, but I find they get a bit too quirky to be tolerated, if you know what I mean. I liked the one they did about falling asleep at the wheel. That was good. And the anti-Hollywood actor song.

Again, I need to shut up. But not before asking... Tenacious D?

Barenaked Ladies get a little too "pop" at times. I really like "Who Needs Sleep." Is fun to sing with friends on a crowded train at rush hour. Actually, one of the ladies on the train told us we were good entertainment. Yay for the random train ladies.

Um. I've only heard the one song by them, the one that was really popular... dammit can't even remember how it went. It was SO huge over here, though, you couldn't even turn on a radio without hearing it. The one about meeting the devil. I liked that one, though!

Ooh, that would be Tribute. As we're swapping song anecdotes, that's really fun to play on the guitar, drunk, in the girls toilets at school. Unfortunately I can't really elaborate on that, but it was a rather interesting experience.

I don't know why, but I find Ms. Lavigne sweet. Practically talentless, but sweet. Ms. Morissette, however... she's just... I love her. Hmm! The one album you have - is it Jagged Little Pill? I just got that! I have another two (actually, they're all copies or mp3s), but not the really, *really* recent one. Got to look into that.

Okay! Well, we have a slight problem with the whole "where do you get your mp3s" thing, because it's mainly from Windows Media. "Noooo!" I hear you cry! But don't despair yet! Real Player also has the media guide facility, so I'm sure you can get exactly the same stuff from there. I used to have it, but we needed to make space. Avril Lavigne makes me laugh. Her music is perky enough, if utterly bland. Alanis Morissette, now... I have Jagged Little Pill, which is an *excellent* CD, and a friend of mine has Rug Swept Under, which I've been meaning to borrow. She's so... angry. And angsty. And cool.
