Jun. 15th, 2004 12:57 pmand in less than one month, this won't even contain a lie about my age! I'll be LEGAL!(to have sex, but not to drink, smoke, or do anything fun. I could drive, except I'm afraid of killing pedestrians.
being consistent about lying about my age:

Date: 2004-06-15 05:10 pm (UTC)I wonder why the legal age on all the slash sites is 18 or 21, then. We Massachusettian females can screw like bunnies at 16, but we can't read about it?

Date: 2004-06-15 05:16 pm (UTC)I know - it really doesn't make any sense. It's the same ere -legalage to have sex = 16. PrOn = 18 <. It's really ridiculous.

Date: 2004-06-18 12:58 am (UTC)Yay! someone knows that we sixteen-year-olds are pervs too. Hurrah!
btw, want to recommend ONE song of Ben Folds that you really want me to listen to? I only have about 15 bucks left on my iTunes account, so I don't want to buy a whole album. I'm too lazy to find the thread where we were talking music.

Date: 2004-06-18 05:33 pm (UTC)Fighting It - It's the loveliest song to have ever been written. It's a man talking to his baby son. It's not particularly piano genius, but it is very lovely indeed. Although I'm not sure whether you'll like it now because it's decidedly... soft. Eheh. Still, it's worth a go!
But if you want a sexy, sexy, sexy song (soundwise. Ignore the lyrics) - Not The Same. Or if you want piano genius, Fired. But the song's crappy. Shut up, Sylvie. Go with Fighting It.

Date: 2004-06-18 11:44 pm (UTC)Oh, nevermind... it's Still Fighting It. Is pretty. Reminds me of Barenaked Ladies. Very soft-rock.

Date: 2004-06-20 10:41 pm (UTC)I can't believe I got the song title wrong, I'm such a tit. Barenaked Ladies are lovely, but I find they get a bit too quirky to be tolerated, if you know what I mean. I liked the one they did about falling asleep at the wheel. That was good. And the anti-Hollywood actor song.
Again, I need to shut up. But not before asking... Tenacious D?

Date: 2004-06-21 12:04 am (UTC)Barenaked Ladies get a little too "pop" at times. I really like "Who Needs Sleep." Is fun to sing with friends on a crowded train at rush hour. Actually, one of the ladies on the train told us we were good entertainment. Yay for the random train ladies.
Um. I've only heard the one song by them, the one that was really popular... dammit can't even remember how it went. It was SO huge over here, though, you couldn't even turn on a radio without hearing it. The one about meeting the devil. I liked that one, though!

Date: 2004-06-21 12:49 am (UTC)I haven't heard that BNL song either! Damn. I'll tell you who else is a good Canadian artist... Avril Lavigne (okay, that wasn't funny. She's cute. Stop being mean, Sylvie). Okay, Alanis Morissette. Sexy stressy wailer that she is. Rawr.
I almost, almost feel evil for getting my mp3s illegally, thus free. Then I remember to be a selfish teen again, so all is good again.
(Don't be mean and rub this in other people's faces, Sylvie.)
Sorry.

Date: 2004-06-21 12:51 pm (UTC)I like Alanis Morissette! I have one of her earlier CDs, it's v. cool. Avril Lavigne needs to die, though. sk8ter grrl my ass.
you know, you could be a wonderful, wonderful person and tell me where you get them. puh-leeeeeeeaze?
Wuv you!

Date: 2004-06-22 01:26 pm (UTC)Okay! Well, we have a slight problem with the whole "where do you get your mp3s" thing, because it's mainly from Windows Media. "Noooo!" I hear you cry! But don't despair yet! Real Player also has the media guide facility, so I'm sure you can get exactly the same stuff from there. I used to have it, but we needed to make space. If you don't have it, you can get it for free at:
http://www.real.com
Trust me, there is a free version. Hope this helps!

Date: 2004-06-23 03:58 am (UTC)Okay, I'm going to download Real player then uninstall it, just for you!
Done. Right, all you do is go under the "Search" tab and type in keywords, like "Placebo" or "Where Is My Mind" or "Placebo Where Is My Mind". Good, eh? I suggest going for artist searches. You'll get more that way. Then you play them and either add them to your favourites or burn them to a CD.
